Brian’s story

Case Studies: Brian’s story

Position: Multi Utility Apprenticeship
Location: Uddingston, Scotland

I joined the Energetics Multi Utility Craftsperson Apprenticeship Scheme to become a professional, skilled and respected individual, and have already furthered myself in these areas.

Brian was looking for a Apprenticeship online and came across the Multi Utility Craftsperson Apprenticeship scheme from Energetics. Given his experience in the Construction sector as an Electrician’s Mate, he was selected from a number of applicants and started the course in September 2015.

marksAs there weren’t any previous Energetics apprenticeship case studies or testimonials to go by, I didn’t have many expectations of the course, however I feel that the company and the training programme are exceeding anything I’d hoped for.

MU Apprenticeship Water TrainingDescribing the list of certificates and qualifications already achieved, Brian tells us that only 6 months in so far, and he’s already improved his knowledge of all the utilities on a much bigger scale, including NCO1 qualifications in Water and Gas. This has been gained from the well-maintained balance between classroom, workshop and site-based learning.

Brian thoroughly recommends the Multi Utility Apprenticeship with Energetics commenting: “Energetics offers good on-the-job training and it is great being part of a growing company. As long as you’re prepared to work hard and be ready for the early mornings (!) it’s easy to enjoy your training and enjoy your job.”

Brian is currently almost a third of the way through the three-year Multi Utility Apprenticeship course, and once completed, he and his two colleagues, Steven Breswin and Darren Johnstone, will progress in their careers with Energetics as qualified Civil Operatives.

Brian is thoroughly enjoying the Multi Utility Apprenticeship with Energetics.
